Latva Machine Announces AS9100 Certification

Latva Machine proudly announces that their Quality Management System has received certification as compliant to ISO 9001:2008 and AS9100 C. The certifying auditor was Jim Simpson.

This achievement was accomplished by the entire organization working together to develop, maintain and secure the certification. Becoming ISO and AS certified propels Latva Machine to the next step in providing exceptional products and services, meeting the ongoing customer demands for the highest level of quality. This uniquely separates Latva in the marketplace as a highly qualified major supplier of machining solutions.

Latva Machine is a world class provider of precision machined components and assemblies specializing in aerospace, military, telecommunications and medical components. Since 1979 Latva has supplied complex, tight tolerance components as well as complete assemblies made from a wide range of materials such as Stainless, Inconel, Monel, Titanium and Aluminum to a wide variety of industries.

Latva has over 50 pieces of CNC equipment operating three shifts allowing fast response time to customer demands. With a wide range of raw material suppliers for investment casting, forging, stamping, extrusions, plate and bar stock and an equal number of NADCAP special process vendors for heat treat, plating, NDT, painting, etc. we are able to satisfy most machined requirements found in the United States.

AS9100 is a rigorous and widely adopted quality management system standard for the aviation, space, and defense industries. It was introduced by Society of Automotive Engineers in the Americas and the European Association of Aerospace Industries in Europe in October 1999. AS9100 defines the requirements for the Quality Management System Standard. The International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG) is responsible for the development and maintenance of the 9100 standard.
