Inconel, trademarked by Special Metals Corporation, is a family of more than twenty austenitic nickel-chromium super alloys.

Inconel is a difficult metal to shape and join using traditional techniques because it hardens quickly and can deform machining tools.

Hastelloy’s properties:

  • Resistant to oxidation and corrosion
  • Resistant to pure water and salt water
  • Retains strength and structural integrity over a wide range of temperatures
